Life can be challenging at times. We have all been exposed to situations in life which had the opportunity to shift our perspective. Some of us are still recovering from those situations. For each of us those situations and the way we handle those situations maybe different.

Welcome to my practice. I work with children 4 years old and up, adults, families and couples. I work with children using different skills of play therapy, behavior modification, learning to communicate effectively. I do my best to help all my clients feel comfortable so you are able to enjoy the counseling atmosphere I have to provide. I help parents with discipline education, behavior modification, advocating for your child, encouraging positive, honest and open communication, and establish routine/structured environment. I work with couples in fair fighting, relationship conflict resolution, and positive communication.

Over the past decade, I have served in various roles, including child protection specialist for the state and a licensed social worker within the education system. My expertise extends to navigating Bulletin 1508, 504 plans, and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Specializing in supporting children, adolescents, and families, I address challenges such as learning disabilities, ADHD, anger outbursts, depression, relationship issues, academic concerns, and anxiety.

I enjoy helping people learn how to help themselves. We all struggle, some more than others, and we all need to reach out to someone for support from time to time. My clients bring forth any number of issues, from depression, anxiety, and mood problems to relationship problems to coping with being a member of a marginalized community (the LGBT community has a special place in my heart). My sincere interest is in helping my clients to achieve a balanced life with a sense of being happy and whole.

Sometimes people with the worst pasts end up creating the best futures. It is my goal as a therapist to help you reach that future. We all have struggles, failures, and regrets. The acknowledgement of having these battles is the greatest step forward.
