I am a licensed Professional Counselor and a Qualified Family and Divorce Mediator, and Parenting Coordinator. I received my Master's degree from Our Lady of Holy Cross College and my mediation training through The Mediation Institute. My experience is working with children, adolescents and adults of all ages. I also work with families and couples.

It is my role to support and assist you in exploring your past and present life experiences while helping you identify patterns in thoughts, behaviors, and emotions that can both inhibit and support your growth.

There are many reasons or motivations people may have for seeing a therapist, and they are all valid: You might feel stuck, out of balance, disconnected. Maybe you and/or a loved one are experiencing some form of loss or distress, are seeking change or healing. You may want to foster growth, self-exploration, nourishment, or acceptance in your life. Perhaps you just need a space where you can be validated and supported, without judgement. My approach to therapy is eclectic and collaborative: working with you to tailor and adjust my methods to your strengths, preferences, and needs. In therapy, one size does NOT fit all.

I will work with you to bring awareness and insight to your behaviors, environments, impairments, and strengths. This awareness can pave the way for understanding the underlying motives behind your behaviors, as well as reasons for discomfort or pain, so that you can make the necessary changes. Together we’ll create a safe space to process, build insight, and discover new skills. I received my Bachelor of Arts in psychology at UCLA and my Master of Arts in social work at California State University at Northridge. I have practiced in CA, LA and MS in community-based mental health, hospital and in private practice settings.

Each of my clients is seen as unique, while also recognizing the collective nature of our human experiences and the ways systemic oppression, such as racism and classism, effect our lives and mental health. My goal is to engage with you in ways that are safe for you. Over the span of 45 years, 23 of which have been in private practice, I have worked with children, teens, families, couples, women and men individually in a variety of settings. I bring real talk, humor and compassion to my work and I view therapy as a conversation about life. My goal is to help you find your voice as you work to heal from the challenges of life.

Guided by a relational/narrative approach to therapy with a systems lens, I view clients as emergent beings who come from communities and stories that can enliven or constrict their sense of self, safety, belonging, and freedom. In a society that encourages isolation and disconnection, I have seen the profound healing that can happen when people feel safe enough to be witnessed and explore through relationship. I work with people who struggle with painful pasts or parts of themselves and aim to create a space where people can move into greater relationship with themselves, their values, and desires.

With over 20 years of experience I help guide clients towards healthier tools to live a more functional and fulfilling life, and improve relationships along the way. Above all else the key component centers around self care, learning to take care of you.

I have 15 years experience working with clients from all walks of life. My areas of specialty include: life transitions such as a new relationship, career changes, or identity shifts, healing from trauma, alcohol use and "grey area" drinking, and non-traditional relationship structures such as ethical non-monogamy and polyamory.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Approved Clinical Supervisor with 21 years of mental health experience, and have a law degree. I treat a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression and bi-polar depression, relationship issues and couple's counseling, and family mediation.
