Misty earned her degree in Psychology and Sociology from Louisiana State University and a Master's degree in Social Work from Louisiana State University.

I am a Licensed Professional Christian Counselor (LPC) specializing in relational and developmental trauma recovery, PTSD/childhood abuse recovery, healing the child within and family of origin healing. I use a story informed trauma treatment model (SITT) . I practice from a "wounded healer" perspective as I have my own testimony of childhood abuse recovery, divorce recovery and remarriage/blended family.
