My use of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) blended with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and meditative practice provides clients with a solid foundation to achieve personal growth. My goal is to help my clients realize their best self and develop the skills necessary to live a rich, full, and meaningful life.

I have experience working with clients from various backgrounds, presenting with multiple different mental health concerns. I have the most experience and training in working with survivors of trauma. Many of my clients have suffered unbearable loss, abuse, neglect, and traumatic experiences outside of their control. They need help in identifying and regaining control over their symptoms that stem from the trauma they have endured. They need a safe relationship in which they are able to reprocess the events and reactions to the hardest things they have experienced. They want to not feel trapped in their traumatic memory.

Emotions tend to be at their root of what concerns us. The fashion we act when our feelings are something we deny generally causes our dominant issues: depression, anxiety, anger, guilt, sadness. With reflection and foundational understanding we can begin growing towards a better life every day.

I specialize in the assessment and treatment of learning difficulties, including those caused by AD/HD. My approach to academic difficulties goes beyond the limited information contained in a diagnosis. I identify the specific causes of learning problems that can be targeted with academic therapy or accommodations in the classroom. I provide detailed interventions and recommendations that target specific cognitive processes (e.g., working memory, processing speed, planning, organization, etc.), higher level language and comprehension skills, and basic academic skills required for efficient learning. I use the latest research on individual differences to tailor interventions.
