Hi! I’m Katie, and I’m excited to be with you on your journey to wellness. As a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional-II, I view the therapeutic process as one in which you and I tackle the obstacles standing in the way to peace, happiness, and fulfillment. Practicing from a strengths-based perspective and cognitive-behavioral approach, I have been in the field since 2008 and have worked with the lifespan (ages 2-75) in various settings. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and virtual counselor in Louisiana. I have been in practice over 17 years working in a variety of settings with children, adolescents and adults. I believe we all deserve a little help sometimes, and that’s what led you here. I earned my MSW in 2019 and am currently a PhD candidate at LSU. As an LCSW, I have worked in many settings, including the Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center, an inpatient adolescent psychiatric unit, private practice, and as an adjunct instructor at LSU. My interests and approaches include trauma-informed care, attachment, play therapy, and parent-child interactions. I am trained and utilize a variety of modalities, including TraumaPlay and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Our practice takes pride in offering services to the community through six clinicians who specialize in a wide range of mental health areas. Our practice, as a whole, specializes in Sexual and Porn Addiction, but we are grateful to have a team that can help with many different areas. The staff at Doug White and Associates is highly trained and skilled in helping individuals recover from sexual addiction, pornography addiction, affairs, and other process addictions.

We work together to understand and process what has happened in the past, what coping skills they have implemented to help them survive until now, and what we can do to best grow and move forward. My clients are the experts in their healing journey, but I will never leave them without the tools and support necessary to navigate that process.

Misty Humble is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with years of experience. She specializes in helping clients who are struggling with family conflict, infidelity, life transitions, relationships, and sexual issues. Misty earned her degree in Psychology and Sociology from Louisiana State University and a Master's degree in Social Work from Louisiana State University.

Her professional experience includes facilitation of mental health and substance abuse group therapy, vocational rehabilitation counseling and individual psychotherapy. With her training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, she uses a trauma- informed collaborative approach to assist both adolescents (ages 13-17) and adults.
