As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have spent years studying how individuals learn to cope with life events that have led to a need for therapeutic support. I have been practicing as a Clinical Psychologist for 31 years, addressing the needs of individuals, couples, families, and institutions. I have particular expertise in the treatment of sex addiction and compulsivity, as well as relationship and intimacy difficulties. Since 2004, i have served as Clinical Consultant for the sex addiction and compulsion programs at Pine Grove in Hattiesburg, MS. The program is internationally recognized and is based on the ground-breaking work of Dr. Patrick Carnes. Furthermore, for several years, I was the Chief Psychologist for the Masters and Johnson program in New Orleans.

One of the goals of counseling is to gain knowledge and insight into problematic behaviors, beliefs, feelings, and relationship issues. I believe that a person can come into the knowledge of self to regain control, motivation, and self-worth to reach their full potential. In this I believe in establishing realistic and achievable goals for individuals and families that will bring forth true freedom. I incorporate several therapeutic techniques and interventions that are designed for the individual client that includes but not limited to; person centered, brief solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
