I take an eclectic approach and use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral, Reality Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution Focused, Reality Based, and psycho-education to individuals age 5 and up. My theory is that when people have hope and can learn to challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes, people are free to experience change.

Leigh specializes in adult individual therapy and forensic counseling. Her areas of interest include grief, trauma, and identity and vocational challenges as clients move through various life transitions (e.g. divorce, motherhood, retirement) toward balance, calm, and meaning. Leigh offers Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and brainspotting using the lens of grief and moral injury to explore and process client trauma.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a Master's of Science in Social Work, I work with adolescents, adults, seniors, seeing individuals, couples, and families. I have particular interest in all areas of mental health, including grief, loss, trauma, eating disorders, domestic violence, sexual abuse, sexual assault, and parenting issues. I am a Certified Mediator and have a Certification in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). In my free time, I enjoy working with my three pet therapy dogs.
