I strive to create a safe space that is client centered and holistic, meeting my clients where they are at. I have worked primarily with adolescents, adults and couples. I enjoy working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety and depression. People who are striving to overcome symptoms, look for self-improvement that fits their lifestyle and goals, and create meaningful positive relationships both in and outside of the session. Furthermore, couples who are struggling, have felt a growing distance, or just want to increase their communication and intimacy can work collaboratively with me to improve their relationship!
I use person centered, Gottman's and cognitive behavioral therapy approaches primarily. While I still practice a more traditional talk therapy approach frequently, I actively enjoy getting creative with my therapeutic approaches and will try to incorporate games, going outside, and I am hopeful to bring horticulture work to practice soon!
I imagine how uncomfortable it may be to seek help for mental health and wellness struggles. I hope myself, or another, is welcoming enough to encourage you to take a leap into working with a professional and work on improving the area's of your life the way you want to. Feel free to reach out and if I am not a good fit, I'll help you find someone who is.
