Each team meets regularly for ongoing training and consultation in the team's specialty. We believe that this significantly increases the quality of counseling we offer.

My passion for advocacy and a client-centered approach were cultivated in my early years as an educator, but my intellectual curiosity regarding the process of personal change and the value of interpersonal relationships motivated me to returned to NKU for a Master’s degree in Social Work. Since graduating with an MSW, I have enjoyed working with a wide variety of clients in diverse settings including a hospital, court-mandated program, and most recently an outpatient office and school-based office. I provide individual therapy to children, adolescents and adults, as well as families and couples.

I Look at life as a journey. There are times when the journey becomes difficult and complicated. At those times reaching out to someone who can listen with compassion, kindness and acceptance may be all the help that is needed. I have many years of experience working with early childhood trauma and severe, persistent mental illness, varying from ages of 5 years to 70+. My goal is to empower and advocate for positive change within you, as the individual, and the system as a whole. The place that we will create together is a safe and judgement free space. I work through an Existential foundation, to help those I work with seek meaning and purpose, with skills built from experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, all within the context of a trauma-informed approach.

I am a licensed clinical social worker who thrives to provide a safe and therapeutic working relationship with all of my clients. I have licenses to practice in both Kentucky and Ohio. Since 2000, I have worked in a variety of settings in both community and private mental health offices. My practice is geared toward finding solutions to address your underlying issues and accomplish goals we identify together. Therapy is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
