Welcome! In my practice, I hope to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and parents, where I can assist them in meeting their goals and making positive change. I specialize in working with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and social emotional difficulties. I also work with families to address parenting concerns and the parent/child relationship. I am experienced in early childhood mental health (birth - age 5) and work with parents, early educators and other health care providers to meet the needs of young children.

I have experience working with adolescents and adults from various cultural backgrounds, ages, sexualities, and gender expressions, with various goals, trauma histories, diagnoses, and physical health conditions. My professional interests include intergenerational healing, the impact of marginalization on health, LGBTQ identities and experiences, inner child work, and the use of expressive arts in healing.

Renew Counseling Services was established in 2014, and quickly grew to become a group practice with more than 30 therapists. I am a Licensed independent social worker and I have been in the field for six years. I obtained my Bachelors and masters degree in social work from Asbury University. Over the course of my career I have worked with a range of mental health diagnosis such as PTSD, anxiety, depression as well as many other behavioral and emotional challenges. I strive to create a compassionate and reflective environment to assist client's in identifying and working towards their goals.

Sara has received training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Family Based Therapy (FBT), DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Parallel with the main goal in DBT, Sara believes in “creating a life worth living” with her clients. She walks next to her clients on their journey to mental and emotional stability and provides support and encouragement along the way. Sara believes in conducting empirically supported treatment that is best suited for each client’s individual needs.
