Adults and teens tell me that they are seeing an improvement in life quality.
You've spent years dealing with the memories of the trauma. You're triggered all of the time, and it's hard to function daily. You have nightmares, sleep issues, or you just don't have the energy to get up. Your heart beats fast, you can't breathe, and you panic. You bury yourself in work, food, television, video games, or anything to avoid thinking about what happened to you. Sometimes you feel numb, like a zombie, and you space out. If someone walks up, you jump! You don't have to live this way! You can face the past, once and for all!

I treat PTSD, ADHD children and young adults, various other addictions and also do anger management, BIP for the courts.
For 41 years I have been an attorney and had clients with varying backgrounds and issues. My retirement plan from the practice of law was to use all that experience to help others so now I am an LPCC hopefully touching lives in a helpful manner. I have seen how lives can be affected in a negative manner by divorce, drugs, crimes, and health issues which include mental health issues. Society puts more pressure on our lives daily and there is always a way to deal with life on life's terms. Come sit with me awhile and we will deal with life.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 19 years experience helping children, families, and adults. I work with adults, children and families on various interpersonal issues. I believe the family has to be involved in therapy with children to effectively help them. I enjoy helping people through difficult relationships with family members. I work with adults and children with recent or past traumas. I use EMDR and Havening with these clients which allows people to reprocess the trauma and lessen negative physical reactions to the trauma.

I work with adults and teens though trauma and related disorders, grief and bereavement, identity issues, and of course, disability and chronic illness.
Hi there, and welcome! I’m Bethany, your friendly neighborhood queer, goth mental health counselor on wheels. Cerebral palsy and a lifetime as a wheelchair user has given me unique insight into chronic illness, anxiety, and feeling “othered” by society. You aren’t broken and you certainly don’t have to feel like a passive participant in your own life. Rock bottom often provides the most fertile soil for positive growth. I can’t wait to see what blooms for you. LLAP!

I've worked with teens and adults treating depression, anxiety, addiction, and other mental health problems and look forward to the opportunity to walk with you through your journey.
I believe we all have the ability to create the life we desire, regardless of the circumstances we have been handed. Through developing the necessary skills to alter negative thoughts and behavior patterns, positive change will begin to transpire and transform the way you feel. These skills will allow you to address life’s challenges effectively. Feeling heard, seen, and met with compassion carves the path for healing. I strive to provide a space where you can show up authentically, as you are, along with tools to assist you in getting what you want/need.

I work with teens and adults on a daily basis to help them find what solutions work for them.
Every morning you feel "I can’t get out of bed”. It seems like too much right now. You peel yourself out of bed anyway, because you know you have to get going. You have to do all the “things” to make the world function for the humans in your life, but some days it feels like too much. You think this shouldn’t be this hard. I should know what to do and yet you still don’t make any change. You turn on the podcasts and the audiobooks, but no matter how many you listen to you just cannot get yourself to make lasting change. If you could just talk this out maybe it would have to feel so alone.

I started doing telehealth through another provider working with teen and adults on understanding how their past experiences can affect their current functioning.
Growing up and becoming an adult and figuring life out can be full of bumps in the road, detours and roadblocks. We have to learn how to navigate them and come out on the other side. I can help understand how your past has gotten you to this point and how you move forward. I am licensed in Kentucky with 20 years of professional work experience. In 2001, I graduated from the University of Louisville with a Master's Degree in Social Work. From 2002 until June 2022, I worked helping foster youth and clients in their own apartments learn how to handle the traumas they had experienced in their biological family.
