She is passionate about advocacy, neurodiversity and healing from trauma. Ms. Walpole believes that effective therapy begins in an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance.

As a therapist, I have years of experience with working with adults and children, all of whom come from unique backgrounds. This includes children in foster care, children and adults in a community mental health setting, as well as working with adults and children experiencing mental health crisis. My specialty is working with adults and children that struggle with anxiety, depression, bereavement, and have difficulty expressing or managing their frustration or anger. I also specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ community when it comes to the unique challenges this marginalized group faces.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, I earned my Bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Education from Emporia State University and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fort Hays State University. I am a Mom, Christian, Mentor, and Lover of the Outdoors. I am a husband, father, and a retired veteran. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which can help relieve symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma and even physical pain to name a few. We all become overwhelmed at times and it makes it difficult to function, or even want to function, and we just want the pain to go away. We just want to be "normal" like everyone else and be able to live in the world like everyone else does.

I help teens going through a hard time feel understood and more hopeful. Are the teenage years bumpier than you thought? Is it a struggle to connect with people, and feel like you belong? Are there things you want to do, or "should" do, but it's tough when your mind is loud with worry and doubt? You’re tired of beating yourself up. Together, you and I can figure it out. I’m a Therapist located in Southwest Topeka who works with Children and Families. Many of my clients come in to address topics such as Anxiety/Depression, ADHD, Trauma, Parent/Family Challenges, and Life Transitions. I am particularly passionate about serving Children, Teens, Young Adults, Parents & Families. Personal life and parenting experiences have given me valuable insight as to what families are going through when one member is struggling with issues.

There are two populations that I prefer to work with, children(9+)that struggle with Anxiety, ADHD(Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder) and ODD(Oppositional Defiant Disorder) and adults who struggle with the same issues due to childhood trauma.

I currently have immediate openings! I am an autistic, gender-affirming, trauma-informed therapist in Topeka. I am self-diagnosed, and I get the struggle. For the last several years, I have worked with a variety of people with differing strengths, lifestyles and goals. I am a Licensed Masters Level Social Worker (LMSW), who works specifically with adolescents over the age of 11, and adults. I use a variety of therapeutic methods, depending most importantly, on the needs of each client.
