Laura Lester has been working in the social work field for over 10 years. She holds clinical licensure in Kansas and Missouri. Laura has experience working in counseling, hospital social work, community mental health, and case management. Laura enjoys working with children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma, loss, major life changes, as well as difficulty managing worry, anger, sadness, and other intense emotions. Laura graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in communications and University of Missouri with a masters in social work.

I am a therapist that works with people of all ages. As an experienced therapist, I have worked with a variety of mental health issues for kids, teens and adults in an effective way. I love panic disorder. I know this sounds weird, but I do. Why, because it is something that can be easily treated and quickly. If you are struggling with panic/anxiety attacks please reach out to me. I use evidence-based treatments to help you gain control over your panic. Many of my patients show improvement in 1-2 sessions.

Sometimes we experience life changing events that cause us lose sight of our hopes and dreams. Our fears can deceive us into believing that we will never be okay again. We do not have to be defined by what has happened to us. I believe that no matter what we have been through we have the potential to create for ourselves, a happy, rich and full life worth living.
