I remember when I looked at mental health, physical health, and relationships as separate. I thought everything had to fit in its own box, and didn't influence each other. But in fact, they DO. I now see how poor boundaries can affect how we eat, cope & practice self care. I can see how our relationships with our parents affects the way we see ourselves in relationships. As a therapist, I recognize that most people want a quick fix to improve their quality of life and relationships. However, it takes courage to acknowledge our habits, lifestyle, and self-limiting beliefs about ourselves. It also takes time to connect the dots.
My hope is to provide a safe space for you to acknowledge the negative beliefs that you carry about yourself and your relationships, while understanding why they exist. I recognize that it takes time, and a lot of deconstruction to let go of an unhealthy belief. However, we will work at your pace, while I provide opportunities for you to be challenged.
