There's times when our intentions miss the mark & we struggle to express ourselves in ways that are healthy & effective in our relationships. With 20+ years in the mental health field, I've worked with many people just like you who can have difficulty communicating in ways that feel comfortable & genuine. Utilizing a variety of evidence-based approaches, I'll work with you to sort through feelings & situations that create or perpetuate distress & to find calm in who you are & who you want to be. I'm here to help you uncover your potential.
My style is direct, empathetic, & nonjudgmental. I work with ages 16+, specializing in those struggling with relationships, identity, depression, anxiety, trauma & life transitions. I am supportive of all types of relationships & have expertise in the LGBTQIA+ community. I am approved to provide clinical supervision in Iowa for licensure (MFT, MSW, MHC).
