I have experience working in the field of mental health for over ten years, providing both inpatient and outpatient services. My experience includes treating adults and adolescents struggling with depression/anxiety and emotion regulation, substance abuse, trauma-related concerns, and serious mental illnesses. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques to assist my clients in reaching their goals and develop insight which leads to healing, peace, and acceptance.
My approach to counseling is based in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with person-centered, solution-focused, existential, and mindfulness techniques. This approach is designed to help clients identify how negative thinking patterns are related to feelings and actions, and how changes in perspective can influence emotional expression and behaviors.
People tend to seek counseling when life feels unmanageable and out of control. My goal is to help individuals both tap into the strengths and resources they already have and develop new coping skills to manage their lives more effectively and regain a sense of control. I aim to provide a safe space for clients to explore their concerns.
