I enjoy working together with individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma/abuse histories, neurodiversity, identity issues, grief/loss, communication, emotional flexibility concerns, or have been negatively impacted by intergenerational family issues. I helping people with multiple barriers in their lives that impact functioning, such as mental health comorbidities, those living with HIV/chronic illnesses, members of the LGBTQA community, those with neurodivergence or other disabilities, etc. I advocate for self-acceptance and the deconstruction of shame, and I greatly enjoy working with non-binary/transgender populations.
I am a licensed MFT in Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky and practice from a family systems perspective. I utilize a trauma-Informed approach to care and employ a harm reduction perspective with regards to behavioral change. I often utilize CBT, ACT, EFT, BT, Interpersonal, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, SFBT, and SFT techniques.
I value an authentic, client-centered approach to therapy, and I believe that true therapeutic progress is best achieved when a provider joins with a client from a position of unconditional positive regard and acceptance. I strive to meet clients “where they are at” without judgement, to gain client trust and to work as a team to achieve desired change.
