I have over 15 years of experience working with teens and adults. My passions include providing affirming care to the transgender and nonbinary community (ages 14+) and treating sexual and other trauma, including complex PTSD. I do this with an eclectic approach, borrowing techniques and theory from several different areas (DBT, IFS, EMDR, Humanism and psychoeducation). I collaborate with each of my clients to provide care tailored to their needs. I am dually licensed in Texas and Oregon.
My experience with gender expansive teens and adults comes from both my personal and professional life. It is critical for the trans community to have access to safe and affirming care. I work to be an advocate both in my private practice and volunteer activities.
NOTE: I provide affirming care for LGBTQ+ adolescents, adults and their families. I do not engage in or condone the use of conversion or reparative therapies as these have been proven harmful to people and are not founded in scientific knowledge.
