I have over 15 years of experience working with teens and adults. My passions include treating sexual and other trauma (including complex PTSD) and providing affirming care to the LGBTQ+ (particularly transgender and nonbinary) community (ages 14+). Practicing with an eclectic approach, I borrow techniques and theory from several different areas (DBT, IFS, EMDR, Humanism and psychoeducation). My clients are partners in therapy; we work together to find what works best for each person. My clients tell me that they feel safe and valued in our sessions. I am dually licensed in both Texas and Oregon.
I have experience treating mood disorders and anxiety disorders and I have specialized training in several areas, including sexual abuse/assault, complex PTSD and trauma recovery, and sexual and gender identity. I am certified in EMDR, an evidence-based treatment for trauma. I purposely keep my caseload small so that I can offer personalized care.
NOTE: I provide affirming care for LGBTQ+ adolescents, adults and their families. I do not engage in or condone the use of conversion or reparative therapies as these have been proven harmful to people and are not founded in scientific knowledge.

Transgender Teen Group
Open to transgender and nonbinary teens ages 13-17. Come together weekly for 6 weeks to explore topics unique to being trans/NB in 2023, such as navigating school rights, social transitioning, finding friendships/relationships, battling prejudice and much more. Group is led by 2 experienced, informed and affirming clinicians who are also mothers of trans teens.

Parents, Caregivers, Allies of Trans Individuals
We are VERY excited to offer a new virtual low-cost education/support group for parents, caregivers, and allies of transgender/nonbinary individuals. This group will be led by three experienced mental health professionals who are also parents of trans children. The group will be weekly for 6-weeks and will offer further education on topics such as Gender 101, transitioning, coming out, grief, and more. It will also allow time for members to give and receive support to each other.
