Hi there! My name is Krissy Wegmann and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in St. Louis, Missouri. I am a telehealth therapist and work with clients across Missouri. I have a background in working with children and young adults with various developmental disabilities. Currently, I work with young and older adults with depression, anxiety, and stress using skills from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
My approach to goal setting is to be collaborative in all aspects of the process. I feel that it is important for us to build an alliance where you feel heard and can fully explore what are your most important goals. After these have been defined by you, we can move forward to identify barriers, utilize strategies, and make progress toward achieving goals.
In our first session, we would talk about the process of therapy, I would ask questions to get to know you, and how you have been feeling. We would also explore what you are seeking from therapy. Additionally, this session would also build a connection between us and strengthen the therapeutic alliance.
