Thank you for reading my summary. People are resourceful and resilient, often able to handle whatever comes along in relationships, school, work, and life in general. Sometimes, though, we’re faced with situations, circumstances or traumatic experiences that can feel overwhelming. Traumatic experiences, relationship problems, addiction, and others can affect life’s journey. Having a trusted, empathetic therapist can help in the healing and growth process. I use Brainspotting in my practice and am a CSAT Candidate (certified sexual addiction therapist candidate).
Formerly a teacher, I earned my PhD working with justice system involved citizens, which inspired me to obtain another degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. I have extensive experience working with persons with substance abuse issues, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I’m trained in Brainspotting. I work with adolescents, adults, and groups.
It's often difficult and confusing to go through problems alone, yet asking for help can seem overwhelming. A good first step is to is to trust oneself and the healing process. An empathetic therapist can be an invaluable resource on the journey. I offer evening and weekend appointments.
