Saving the world and helping people is what I’ve wanted to do since I was 13yrs old; and the first step was serving in the Navy. If you’re in search of a safe, therapeutic environment to discuss your thoughts, feelings and experiences I’d love to help you process and gain the tools needed to manage your mental health. My therapeutic style involves a collaborative approach that includes empathy, transparency, non-judgement and validation. I believe that each individual patient is an expert when it comes to themselves, and I work collaboratively with the patient adding my clinical knowledge.
I’m currently in a full-time position with Howard University Counseling service but continue to provide private psychotherapy with LifeStance Health, Inc. Providing mental health services to children, adolescents and adults; specializing in offering services to underserved populations specifically members of black and brown communities.
I consider myself a "new age psychologist" classically trained as a generalist with a Eurocentric lens; but continuing to consider and integrate an individuals' ethnic and cultural experiences/background into the therapeutic process. As well as understanding how our engagement in technology and social media also impact our day to day lives.
