My passion is supporting individuals and families in finding their voice. Our world is a complex and overwhelming place and events of the day can bring about fear and anxiety which can impact the ability to live fulfilling and peaceful lives with abundance and joy. My goal is to provide a space to promote mindful response rather than unhealthy reaction. I use methods including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, expressive therapy, EMDR and play to help clients to feel empowered. I provide therapy to the entire family system in order to best support my clients toward meeting their goals.
I have been lucky enough to have worn the hats of family therapist, teacher, crisis evaluator and supportive friend. Each role has been important in giving me the skills and understanding I need to help you and your child overcome obstacles. I am passionate and committed to building a safe and effective therapeutic alliance with you. Let's talk soon.
You have made the brave commitment to seek support to change something that is not working in your family. This is such an important step. I wish to honor this commitment by working with you and your child to build skills and model tools which can easily be used to promote healthy coping and reduce family stress. I look forward to meeting you.
