KCC clinicians specialize in trauma and work from a trauma-informed platform. What this means is that we treat various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and substance use from the idea that trauma has affected the individual’s overall mental health. We also treat Dissociative Disorders, are rainbow allies and seek to provide a nurturing, empathetic environment for our clients. We also enthusiastically celebrate all diversity and have specific skills and experience in relation to working with the disabled minority. We currently have a waitlist for Dissociative Disorder treatment needs. Email communication preferred.
Our counseling style and approach is eclectic. What this means is that we tailor the sessions as best as they can to fit your needs and personality. The benefit of eclectic therapy is that therapy is customized to you and your unique needs, by using the most effective therapeutic techniques and integrating them into treatment.
KCC is different than other counseling centers as they offer case management skills and co-therapy skills along with traditional psychotherapy. We work to fit counseling/ therapy into your life because we care about our clients. It takes a community to live the best life possible and we connect with community partners to meet the needs of our clients.
