Mood Check Therapy empowers adolescents to build a solid self-love practice early in their lives that they will lean on when experiencing uncomfortable emotions and thoughts. Clients may have difficulty going to school or being flexible with others, getting started or finishing a task, and looking to feel comfortable and confident more of the time.
By taking time to develop a therapeutic relationship and explore mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral strategies, I will support you to notice, cope, and appreciate your own range of emotions, and those of others, without judgement. My areas of specialization include ADHD, self-esteem, trauma, and mood disorders.
I am experienced working in the schools (k-12). My work inside and outside of the therapeutic space is rooted in anti-oppression. I will prioritize and encourage our BIPOC 2SLG.BTQIA+ youth seeking mental health referrals. I excel at making self work & grounding techniques approachable in the daily lives of youth through dialogue and humor.
