My approach to counseling recognizes the uniqueness of each individual. I have experience working with folks 18-75 dealing with attachment issues, anxiety, depression, relationships, health concerns, trauma, grief,and other major life changes. My practice focuses on deep inner work that encourages self-awareness and a feeling relationship with the body. This work is facilitated by a strong and trusting client/counselor relationship based on warmth and non-judgment. My goal is to help you to make sense of your difficulties and become more comfortable with your feelings.
I help adults negotiate a variety of concerns. For all, I provide an environment that is nurturing and safe, and allows for transformation. I am EMDR certified and an approved EMDRIA consultant. I help to facilitate EMDR trainings and offer supervision to clinicians who have completed Basic Training or wish to become EMDR certified.
I seek to find the therapeutic modality that is appropriate for each individual. I am comfortable using many traditional techniques and also have extensive training and experience using EMDR and the I Ching to explore traumatic, emotional, relationsal and health concerns.
