We all have mental health issues at some point in our lives. Traumatic events or life transitions can certainly overwhelm and create crisis in our lives. In therapy sessions we work on issues and emotions that overwhelm like stress, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, abuse and/or neglect or abandonment. Alcohol and drug addiction are common ways that some people try to cope with these emotions. Addiction destroys relationships. Therapy should not be feared. You are not alone. Sessions are confidential and non-judgmental.
As a therapist, I have worked with individuals in addiction and mood disorders. I have experience with families and couples in parenting skills, problem solving, and restoration. I enjoy helping adults as well as children and adolescence that are dealing with childhood traumas and teaching coping skills for ADHD. I am trauma treatment certified.
