Therapy can be a space to understand our emotions, learn to control our reactions, and increase communication skills. My strengths are in working with grief, anxiety, depression, and strengthening boundaries. In addition to individuals, I work with both couples and with families beginning a journey of uncoupling. I work best with people who bring a curiosity and desire to learn more about their thoughts and behaviors while on the path to healing.
I believe therapy should be an accessible and beneficial tool to navigate the complexity of life. My own life experiences have instilled patience and compassion in me, as well as an approach to counseling rooted in humbled curiosity. While being trained in a contemplative approach, I also draw from existentialist and behavioral modalities.
My love of Buddhism informs my approachable, warm, and grounding presence while my New York upbringing provides space for humor and a touch of pragmatic introspection. Together we can work to defuse thought and behavior patterns, learn coping techniques for anxiety and navigate life's transitions... and curve balls.
