Hi, my name is Kimberly Ignacio and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been working professionally in the fields of mental health and social services for 10+ years. The work and personal experiences encountered have helped me to empathize with my clients in hopes to build understanding and point out alternative perspectives to be observed. I apply an integrative approach compromised of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Gestalt, Motivational Interviewing, and is Client Centered.
In session, I tend to focus on identifying stressors that cause impairments. With that, I enjoy supporting my clients on the journey of developing their insight and self-validation. I feel my sessions are light-hearted and integrated with assertive feedback, when necessary.
My goal is to help my clients understand complex "blind spots" of thoughts and feelings and is motivated on self-awareness development.
