Trained at the Yale Center for Traumatic Stress and Recovery, I help young adults and families who are struggling in the wake of recent traumatic events, or stressful events that may have happened years ago. Clients I have helped on the path to recovery have experienced sexual, physical or emotional abuse, domestic, school or community violence, motor vehicle accidents, loss of a parent or important attachment figure, natural or man-made disasters, a stressful life change, and multiple or complex traumas. They may also suffer from symptoms of anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, and have difficulties concentrating or sleeping.
I use evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), TF-CBT, Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI) and incorporate DBT skills as needed. Clients enjoy my warm and nonjudgmental style, as I work to build a safe and trusting environment in therapy where clients feel seen, heard, and understood.
I am licensed in Florida, Connecticut and New York. I'm in network with Aetna for FL therapy patients. I can help you navigate out-of-network billing as well if you prefer to do private pay.
