Welcome! My name is Kimberly Higgins, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Board Certified Diplomate (BCD) based in Northern California working with adult clients statewide via telehealth. I am currently licensed in California and Wisconsin. My work is with adults experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, or adjustment to life changes. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing are my primary approaches to therapy. We'll work together so that you can build a foundation to move toward wellness.
Many of the people I work with are managing symptoms from adjustment to life changes, depression, substance abuse, panic, and anxiety. Trauma is common and often people build their coping skills and self-awareness before moving into trauma focused therapy.
I work with adult children of aging parents as well as the parents related to conversations about changes in health, living conditions and end of life decisions. Our work together, will help you travel through the challenges you are experiencing.
