I'm a bilingual (English and Spanish) clinical psychologist with training in evidence-based treatments for individuals and couples. One of specializations is in couple therapy. I wholeheartedly enjoy helping couples work through and overcome obstacles in their relationship stemming from individual differences, life transitions (i.e., parenthood, empty nest, retirement), emotional distance, and infidelity. I also have extensive training in treating individuals with anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. I provide psycheoducational testing in English and Spanish.
With couples, I practice Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT) to help partners understand problematic patterns of interaction, promote positive changes, and enhance emotional acceptance for one another. With individuals, I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, depression, and related issues, and Prolonged Exposure (PE) for trauma.
My aim when working with any individual or couple is to facilitate meaningful and lasting change by providing a safe place to reflect, process, and improve emotional well-being using only treatments that are known to work.
