I have been in the field of Social Work and Mental Health for 20+ years. I am drawn to the marginalized populations and treatment areas such as low self-esteem/self-worth/self-identity, self-acceptance, depression, anxiety and interpersonal relationships. I am a "get to the root cause" therapist because this is where true, sustained healing happens.
I typically utilize attachment theory because this treatment modality provides a comprehensive view of the relationship to ourselves and others. Together we will identify negative core wounds, unmet needs, boundaries and unhealthy behavioral patterns. Together we will explore how emotions affect thoughts and behaviors through Cognitive behavioral therapy.
I have the natural ability to really see another human being for who they are, connect with their spirit, empathize with their feelings, hold space for their pain, advocate for their wants and needs, support their self-growth and healing and be curious about their life story. There is nothing more beautiful, more powerful or more healing than a conversation.
