As a therapist I believe that every person has a vast potential for growth and the ability to change and overcome difficult life situations and that care should be client centered and incorporate the latest in clinical research. I am passionate about strengthening children, individuals, and couples by providing a safe and non-judgmental environment. I use a psychodynamic relational approach that recognizes past and present experiences and relationships to impact a person’s current ways of thinking and relating.
My areas of clinical interest are anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, attachment, and relational issues. I am seeking licensure in VA as well as becoming a Registered Play Therapist. I have completed Level 1 and 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and plan to integrate the Gottman Method in my work.
