I work with adults and older adolescents experiencing difficulty in navigating life's many challenges and uncertainties. Concerns related to depression, anxiety, relationships, identity, trauma, or loss can impact our emotional well-being and functioning. At times, our ways of coping can create further distress. Through a deeper understanding of ourselves and our patterns, therapy can facilitate change. I recognize each client as a unique individual and appreciate the need to tailor therapeutic experiences to fit your needs. My goal is to promote curiosity, insight, and autonomy, allowing for healthier ways of coping and healing.
I provide therapy primarily from a psychodynamic orientation, integrating skills-based approaches as needed. Within a supportive, empathic environment, my style of therapy explores past experiences that often shape our current functioning. I have special interest in working with young adults navigating the challenges of college and their emerging identities.
Sharing our inner world with others may feel overwhelming, but I place emphasis on the safety and sanctity of the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a safe space in which you can show up authentically without fear of judgment, or feeling as if you must hide parts of yourself.
