Trauma alters your brain — luckily, healing does too. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, depression, relational issues, and women's issues in teens and adults. My aim is to create a space that is radically accepting and compassionate, open to exploring the past, and hopeful for the future. I believe that therapy should be an empowering and goal-directed experience that leaves each client feeling more self-aware and walking away with a new skillset to equip them to deal with life's challenges.
Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all, and each client's unique needs determines the course of our work together. I often utilize IFS and psychodynamic therapy, which is a fancy way of saying we explore childhood "stuff" that impacts you in adulthood. My clients also learn many CBT and DBT-based coping skills to help them effectively manage emotional distress.
