In my practice I focus on those who have been feeling "stuck." You may have been to see therapists before, but the core problem doesn't seem to go away. The core of many issues related to depression, anxiety, and other life challenges come in how we process and manage emotions. When feeling "emotionally uncomfortable," some of us might lash out and others of us might shut down. The type that shuts down might get very quiet, or say everything is fine when it is not fine, and be very uncomfortable with the idea that others might know what is going on in their heads. While this can keep us feeling safe, it also can feel isolating.
I have experience treating depression, anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, and treatment-resistant depression and anxiety in particular. I also treat religious and spiritual trauma. My primary treatment approaches include Schema Therapy, Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy, CBT, CPT and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Working together, we will decide on the best course of action for you. We will not be rigid and rules-based in our treatment though, and we will make use of the best approaches for you as an individual. The most important person in this process is you!

Get Free of Being Overcontrolled and Stuck
This group will focus on the idea of needing control and to be perfect in order to function and be happy. When we have too much or need too much of a good thing (self-control, keeping calm) we can lose our way and become stuck in bad patterns. In this group, we will use Radically Open DBT and Schema Therapy to learn how to create balance and open up again rather than be shut down and closed off to ourselves, other people, and the world. This will be an online group.
