I am trained for work with individuals, couples, youth and families within a variety of mental health and recovery situations. I have worked within the mental health field for approximately 20 years with experience ranging from issues surrounding chronic mental illness in kids and adults, trauma and abuse, domestic violence, behavioral disturbances, parenting, depression and anxiety. I use a relational and strength-based approach in therapy and collaborate with clients to help determine the best and most appropriate course of treatment.
I use an individualized approach to treatment and thus draw on several interventions depending on the need (i.e. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Art and Play Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy (TFCBT) etc.).
