I have been a practicing Psychologist in the Charleston area since 1997. My office is located three blocks from the College of Charleston. Many of my client's are college students who display symptoms of anxiety and depression associated with difficulties adjusting to college life. I have been a college professor for many years, so I relate well to the challenges of college. It takes bravery and courage to seek help and I find that those who engage in treatment benefit when they put effort into developing skills to manage their emotional self.
I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and depression using cognitive-based interventions. I also provide marital counseling to individuals and couples experiencing marital distress, as well as premarital counseling to couples wishing to prevent common relationship problems before they occur.
