Whether you are looking for a short term, targeted treatment to address a current challenge or transition in life, or seeking greater understanding of long held patterns or beliefs that may contribute to recurrent conflict and unhappiness, I take a relational, mindfulness based approach to help individuals, couples and families develop greater insight and discretion around thoughts and behaviors that foster well being and need nurturing versus those that get in the way and require the difficult (but not impossible!) work of change.
Having been intensively trained in DBT, much of my work centers on helping people who experience strong emotions in such a way that it creates problems in living, to develop skills to challenge the assumptions that may be fueling their problems and to discern more effective pathways for greater ease and satisfaction in life.
I also bring to bear my grounding in CBT, ACT and other evidence based treatments to skillfully address anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, career challenges, and myriad other conditions that may cause distress and suffering.
