I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is currently seeing children and adolescents ages 0-20. Areas of focus include behavior management, anxiety, depression, trauma, individual and family counseling, stress management, and related behaviors. I have been trained in Child Centered Play Therapy at the UNT Center for Play. I am currently enrolled as a doctoral student with Liberty University for Community Care and Counseling with a focus in traumatology. Additionally, I have completed Phases 1 and 2 towards a certification as a Registered Play Therapist. I am supervised by Lisa Remey, MEd, LPC-S, RPT-S, NCC, IPT-CST.
I work from a very client-focused theoretical orientation. My preferred modalities of counseling include play therapy, including sandtray therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
My goal as a clinician is to empower my clients to better understand themselves in effort to increase overall mental and physical well-being through a professional and empathetic relationship.
