By understanding people's needs and wants, I can create a safe space to allow the flow of thoughts and feelings those have bundled inside. Therapy is more than just talking to someone, it takes work, it takes healing, and it takes time. The concept of therapy can be scary for those who were made to stigmatize it, but by allowing yourself to open up to someone who is unbiased, it can be beneficial in the long run. I have known that I have always wanted to be a therapist. Ever since I was 12 years old I was always the friend that cared so much about others and created an empathetic environment.
I can help by encouraging and establishing goal setting each week. I am certified in trauma therapy and mental health counseling. I also offer support with substance use challenging. By providing CBT, DBT, person centered theory, and trauma counseling we can get to the bottom and root causes rather than just treating the symptoms.
I am so excited to work with you and build that therapeutic bond together. It is so important to pick the right therapist to feel comfortable with, and I am excited to be that person for you. The practice is also on a farm with horses, chickens, goats, ponies etc and using animal therapy can be very fun and beneficial.
