Hello! Thank you for visiting my profile. Finding the right counselor that fits your needs is an important part of the therapeutic journey. My first goal as a counselor is to build rapport in the first few sessions. Trusting your counselor is important to making progress in each session. I'm compassionate, empathetic, and open-minded. Each client is unique in their own way and it is important that I tailor each client to the appropriate therapeutic modality.
I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults who suffer from anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. I use a Cognitive-Behavioral approach where I help my client's work on changing negative thoughts into positive thoughts. I also specialize in working with children who suffer from behavioral disorders like ADHD and ODD.
I am a graduate of Augusta University, where I received my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Please call our office to inquire about an appointment and my fees. I do offer video counseling. https://www.peachtreepsychology.com/kelsey-donohue
