I am a clinical psychologist specializing in trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, and couples therapy with partners who identify within the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ community. In therapy, I work to build confidence, resilience, and copings skills. We can talk about the multidimensionality of your identity to navigate the impact of societal stress and discover ways to feel your feelings in an increasingly difficult world.
Our close relationships can become the most difficult to navigate alone. In couples and family therapy, we explore what each partner brings to the relationship that contribute to patterns that no longer work. Partners will work to create new ways of understanding, communicating, and problem solving together to improve intimacy and empathy.
I am certified in trauma informed techniques such as Prolonged Exposure (PE). I also integrate psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral (CBT, DBT), and relational approaches to meet the needs of individuals, couples, and families. I have experience in medical, military, and hospital settings. I work to provide a holistic approach to work towards your goals.
