I gravitate to working with people who think a lot, which often leads me to work with intellectuals or perfectionists. In my work with clients both in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, I find meaning in supporting clients who are experiencing the effects of trauma, anxiety, sadness, and overthinking. I believe that a warm, trusting relationship is what heals us. When we feel seen, and our voices are heard, we can be who we are meant to be. Once I get to understand my client's goals and desires, I make it my goal to help them find a way to be the best version of themself.
I draw from humanistic counseling theories to build a relationship of trust with my client. Once that rapport is established, I use cognitive-behavioral, Gestalt, and psychodynamic therapies to provide my client with insight into their life and story. Sometimes that change in perspective is all we need to get back to feeling our best.
