We often wish for a parenting handbook. Watching our child struggle and not knowing how to help can create a sense of helplessness. My goal is that through our therapeutic relationship, your child will feel supported, encouraged, and empowered. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate, supervised by Meredith A. Ivey, M.Ed LPC-S, RPT-S, Cert. CCPT, specializing in children ages 3-16. I value creating a relationship of safety and acceptance with your child and family, exploring how they may utilize their strengths to overcome life's challenges while learning to cope and grow.
I have over 16 years of experience in building relationships with children/families as a school counselor, as well as an elementary and middle school teacher. I incorporate several counseling theories: Play Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy and value tailoring counseling to your child's unique needs.
I am available weekdays, evenings, and weekends. In some instances, I am available to meet with your child at their school.
