Working from an attachment theory perspective, I provide psychodynamic therapy to adults, couples, and families. I believe in using a strength-based approach, meeting the client where they are, and helping each person create realistic, achievable goals for our work together. My focus is in grief & loss, trauma, and attachment concerns.
I help people understand what they are going through in order to increase self compassion, setting a foundation for shifts the client wishes to make. Whether using traditional talk therapy or tools such as EMDR or EFT, I help clients identify and heal old wounds that are impacting their current life experiences.
I believe that most of our distress as human beings is caused by disconnection from other people, or fear of disconnection. We often feel shame or judgment for actions/choices in our lives that have functioned to protect us from pain. I see it as my job to help you understand these things and transform them into choices you regard with pride.
