I have 33 years of experience in chronic health & disability issues, anxiety, depression and trauma. I served 8 years in the Iowa Army National Guard as a Behavioral Health Officer, opening my private practice 11 years ago. Developmental attachment, life experiences, relationships & trauma impact perceptions and patterns of thinking across our lifespan. In our work together, we will identify thoughts contributing to emotional discomfort, values and goals which direct actions and increase resiliency to allow you to flourish. I am a holistic provider looking at how nutrition, sleep, & movement contribute to mental health.
I utilize a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. We will examine the intersection of thoughts, feelings and behaviors, the conflict that arises when we are not living in accordance with our values and how we experience dissonance when dichotomy exists.
I am dual licensed in Iowa & Florida. While there are some advantages to in-person sessions, telehealth allows for greater flexibility in scheduling and access. I am currently accepting telehealth referrals only.
