I work with individuals, couples (in a variety of relationship structures), and families from a culturally-informed, attachment-focused perspective. I have significant experience working with people who have experienced interpersonal/attachment trauma and ongoing stress, and the ways in which that impacts our relationship with self and others.
I am certified in Emotionally-Focused Therapy for couples and focus on helping couples form a secure bond after relationship injuries. I am also certified in EMDR and use this powerful tool to re-establish a felt sense of safety in the body after both acute and chronic experiences of trauma. I specialize in working with folks who experience PTSD.
I believe that healing happens from a place of compassion and validation; that belief guides my practice and approach to building client relationships.
