Welcome Individuals and Couples! I believe we all have an impetus toward meaning and joy. I am dedicated to helping clients gain freedom from anxiety, shame, depression, and relationship issues in order to be at ease and thrive. My approach is collaborative, with a focus on creating a new toolbox to cope with negativity and life stressors, and find your authentic path. With couples, I am interested in the way family-of-origin and neurodiversity inform perceptions and reactions. The goal is to improve awareness, enhance connectivity, solve problems, and cultivate more mutual kindness and teamwork.
The sessions are for you! I love the way small steps create transformative impact in our lives. I believe in a whole person (mind/body) approach based on your strengths. Modalities include: CBT, Internal Family Systems, ACT, Mindfulness, and Integrated Couples. Aetna, Cigna, Spring Health, and Modern Health EAPs accepted.
I appreciate that it takes courage to share your feelings with a new person, and am happy to offer an initial 15 minute consult. Before I became a therapist, I was an English Professor, and wrote middle grade and young adult books. I believe that using our talents and living by our values takes us far in life.
